About our Chelmsford Vet Practice
Over the past years, we have been fortunate to meet many fantastic people and their pets and be a part of several veterinary teams who enriched our skills and allowed us to grow professionally and personally. We are delighted to pass this mixture of values and experience to the practice’s principles and deliver outstanding veterinary services for the local people and their beloved pets.Â
Our first contact team strive for warm, respectful and personal client communication whilst clinical team conduct profesional complex veterinary care so you can be assured your loved pets are in safe hands.
Who we are
Meet the team
Peter graduated from The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno, Czechia, in 2012 and started to shape his clinical skills as an intern at a referral hospital in Prague. In 2013, Peter moved to the UK and served local people as an associate veterinary surgeon in a 24/7 veterinary hospital in Manchester for two years. In 2016, Peter completed a rotating internship at a renowned referral hospital in Solihull. He worked at several veterinary practices across the UK before, together with Marketa, settling in Essex
Peter developed a strong interest in emergency care and surgery and, in 2022, completed his post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery at Harper Adams University, allowing him to perform advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries.
Marketa graduated in June 2015 from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno, Czech Republic. Right after qualification, she moved to the UK. She started working for a small animal practice in Manchester, where she experienced busy working days and out-of-hours emergency service for 2 years. After completing a 1-year rotating internship at the referral hospital in Ringwood where she developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging, she became a locum veterinary surgeon working for various local veterinary practices. Marketa has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging, cytology, and internal medicine.
In November 2020 she completed post-graduate training and became a certified general practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging (GPCert DI).
Outside of work Marketa is very passionate about acro yoga and enjoys playing piano and guitar.
Dan graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018. Dan loves all aspects of being a vet and enjoys meeting a variety of different animals that come into see him. His clinical interests are small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Dan would love to have a dog of his own but has his hands full with his young daughter at home but hopes to rescue a dog at some point in the future.
Natalie is our Registered Veterinary nurse. Natalie started her nursing career back in 2009 as a student and then went on to qualify as a Registered Veterinary nurse in September 2013. Natalie has a keen interest in radiography and a big soft spot for Rottweilers and Miniature Dachshunds, having two of her own sausage dogs at home. Along with her Miniature Dachshunds at home called Rob and Doris, Natalie also has a retired Irish draught horse called Bea.Â
Millie is one of our Student Veterinary Nurses who has been with us since we opened in 2021! She started her veterinary nurse training in 2024. Millie has a BSc Hons degree in Equine Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation, this degree led her to start a career in the veterinary industry with horses. Millie then discovered her passion for small animal care and decided to focus more on this aspect of veterinary nursing. At home, Millie has two Labrador retrievers, three guinea pigs and two horses! Outside of work Millie enjoys going to the gym, cinema and travelling to different places in the world.
Sophie is one of our Student Veterinary Nurses. Sophie started her career in the Veterinary industry in 2019, where she worked within an equine ambulatory practice until January 2023. Sophie joined us at Vista Vets in February 2023 as a Veterinary care assistant and has since started her training to become a Veterinary Nurse at Dick White Academy. Outside of work, Sophie loves nothing more than country walks with her chocolate Labrador Rolo, travelling and spending time with her friends and family.Â
Hollie is a client care assistant as well as an admin of all things social media. She has worked in the Veterinary industry for almost 10 years now and loves getting to know all the patients and their owners. She has a soft spot for West Highland Terriers but sadly does not currently have one of her own (So she borrowed the gorgeous Lottie for her photo 🥰). At home, Hollie has a very sassy cat named Florence and two Guinea pigs called Michael and Michelle, who along with her beautiful son Henry, keep her very busy.
